Redinter, a Redeia, is responsible for the construction and operation of electricity transmission grids outside Spain, and has been building and managing grids in Latin America for more than 20 years, through various subsidiaries in Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
In Latin America, we manage more than 7,000 km of lines and our goal is to guarantee the security and continuity of the electricity supply at all times, as well as develop a reliable transmission grid that contributes to the progress of society.
In Peru, since 1999, we have been present in the south and north of the country where, through a group of companies, we are leaders in the construction, operation and maintenance of high-voltage electrical facilities, with excellent facility availability indicators.
In Chile since 2016, we have managed transmission grids through the subsidiaries Red Eléctrica del Norte S.A (REDENOR) which manages 69.9% ownership in conjunction with Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios S.A., a subsidiary of the Grupo Cobra, which has 30.1% ownership, and Transmisora Eléctrica del Norte S.A (TEN) shared with Engie Energía Chile with a 50% share capital each.
In Brazil, from 2019 we acquired 50% of the ordinary shares of the Brazilian company Argo Energía (Argo Energía Empreendimentos e Participações), dedicated to the management of high-voltage transmission lines in the north-east of the country.
