Red Eléctrica del Norte 2 S.A. (REDENOR 2) is actively engaged in the electricity market, providing transmission services and operating transmission facilities within the national and dedicated system. ​ ​ ​

Transmission facilities are essential infrastructures to ensure uninterrupted operation, maintenance, and utilization of mining operations associated with Centinela. ​ ​ ​

D198 Centinela Substation Expansion Project:​ ​

The Project D198 Centinela SS Expansion and Disconnection of the 2x220 kV El Cobre - Esperanza Line is located in the rural area of the Sierra Gorda municipality, Antofagasta Province, in the Antofagasta Region. Regarding the substation expansion, the scope of work includes the construction of five sections and involves completing the three existing half diagonals and extending a fourth half diagonal. ​ ​ ​

  • It borders 2.4 km to the north with the Centinela Mine Access Boundary.​

  • It spans approximately 1 km and consists of 10 structures. ​ ​ ​

Sierra Gorda Solar Project with ENEL:​ ​ ​

The "Sierra Gorda Solar Photovoltaic Park Transmission Line Project" is located in the rural area of the Sierra Gorda municipality, Loa Province, in the Antofagasta Region. ​ ​ ​

  • It spans approximately 19 km and consists of 66 structures and 2 LM (one at each end of the line). The line starts at the step-up substation within the Sierra Gorda Solar Photovoltaic Park, owned by Enel Green Power, and connects to the National System at Section J10 of the Centinela Substation, owned by REDENOR 2. ​ ​
